01-13-08 Stockholm Sweden: 23:50 hrs. I start the European shows here tomorrow in Gothenburg. It’s Sunday night and my time off is over with. I got in on Friday night, much later than I was supposed to. The flight from LA to London Heathrow was delayed because someone had to be taken off the plane in Boston for medical reasons. I got to Heathrow late, missed my connecting flight and had to wait five about hours for the next one. There went my Friday night off. I had a pretty good weekend here nonetheless. I walked around a lot late Friday night and watched the Swedish youth be loud and drunk. I did the same thing on Saturday night. It’s a great walk, that long stretch down Gotsgatan, a main drag near the Rival Hotel where I always stay. On Saturday afternoon I completed a bit of writing for Swindle Magazine where I am now a staffer. I sent it into my bosses over there, Roger and Shepard and they seemed to like it ok. I am not sure exactly when the next issue comes out but I think it will be in there. Today I slept and worked on a book project and walked around. It’s not as cold here as I remember it being at this time of the year. I met a man on the street late Friday night and he told me that it’s been very warm this winter and not a lot of snow. I am looking forward to getting these shows going. I am glad to be starting shows so early in the year. I hope I can get shows all the way to the end of the year. I have to be up early to go to the airport and head out to Gothenburg. It’s been a good two days off.
