03-09-08 Springfield MO: 2318 hrs. In a hotel room on a night off. It’s been awhile since I entered something here. I have been on this tour, as you know, it’s pretty much full on with not many days off. I just did 12 shows straight. It’s not a big deal, I only have to do one a night. There is a grind to all this like anything else. Every day, I have press before the show, I am editing two books and writing another so that takes up a lot of time and then there’s trying to get to a gym and then soundcheck and the show. It’s all about getting to that stage and putting in a good night up there. The shows have been consistent I think. I had some hard nights a week or so ago, wrestling a cold with shows every night. I was running a fever onstage in Baltimore and it made things difficult as I was heating up and cooling down all through the show. I am sure the audience had an interesting time watching me sweat, dry off and then sweat out again. That took a few days to crawl through but I did. People at the shows have been great and there’s always a lot of folks out by the bus post show which can be a little hard to deal with in the cold but they’re all great so it’s no problem. The post show hang out the other night in Indianapolis was pretty intense with the weather being what it was but we got through it. I got in a good workout today and didn’t sleep much last night so I am pretty beat at this point and have to get up early for press so I better get my head down. 2340.
