03-17-08 En Route To Saskatoon Canada: 0152 hrs. I am sitting on the tour bus as we go into hour #2 of about a 10 hour drive. Hours ago, I was onstage in Winnipeg, it was a good show I think. It’s always a great audience there. I have not had many nights off on this run of shows, which is fine with me, I would rather have one about every ten shows so I can get some laundry done but past that, I would rather be onstage. The shows have been good and this leg of the tour has gone by quickly. I have been working on the next Fanatic! book, which is in edit mode at this point. I have been working on the next journal book A Preferred Blur and it’s coming along but there’s a lot of pages to be typed in from notebooks so that’s taking some time. I will be able to get more of that done when I get to Australia and have multiple nights in one city and that will give me the time to work at a desk in the room before show time. I am finding it hard to get book stuff done before shows because I start thinking about the show too much to concentrate on anything else. By early afternoon, I can only think of the show. I have been meeting some great people after the shows on this tour. I am very lucky for the people who show up. This is a hard show to put up there every night but there’s no place I’d rather be so all is well. The cold in Canada is really something so we have to hope for clear skies to make these upcoming drives to the west coast. We have had some serious weather on this tour which has made some of the travel difficult but I think we/’ll be through the worst of it by tomorrow night. 0211 hrs.
