03-22-09 LA CA: 2028 hrs. Getting on this a little later than usual. Last night’s radio show was a great time, thanks for all the kind letters and phone calls. I am looking forward to next week’s show already.
Last Thursday at approximately 1434 hrs., Heidi and I finished the second draft of A Mad Dash. We are hoping to release this book in November. Reaching that last page marked the end of a long bit of work. Soon enough, we will be going through the third draft but hopefully, that won’t take as long as the previous one. Still, we are ahead of schedule on this one and that’s great. A Preferred Blur is at the printer and will make its appearance soon, we will let you know.
From the now it can be told department, I am now at liberty to disclose a bit of news you may find interesting. Several weeks ago, I was called in for a meeting with the great Kurt Sutter, a writer on The Shield. At the meeting, Kurt expressed interest in me perhaps being in his new show Sons Of Anarchy, which had just finished its first season. We talked about what that might entail and left it at that. Soon after, the formal offer came in and I accepted. I don’t know how many episodes I will be in, that’ up to Kurt. I am not at liberty to disclose exactly what my character is or does but I can tell you that this person is probably not the most upstanding citizen. I believe work starts next month and I look forward to giving it everything I’ve got. When I have more information on all of this, I will write about it here.
Last week was spent working on the book and not a good deal else. I am hoping to be more plugged back into things now. I sorry for the brevity of this letter. Henry
