DISPATCHES

02-21-10 OK City OK: 1705 hrs. Sitting on the bus. Very cold and gray outside. We only got here a little while ago, it was a long drive from El Paso TX where the show was last night. Before the show, I looked over my show lists and couldn’t find a talking show that I had done in El Paso. I didn’t know what to expect but as always, I was glad for the show. The audience was great and I am very glad to have been able to get there and do the show.

So, the US leg of the tour is on. I have done a few shows so far, CA, AZ, NM and TX. The shows have been going well and I am glad to have a few dates under my belt. There’s a lot to talk about so the only problem I am having is staying onstage too long. There’s not a lot to report upon so far on the tour. Last week at this time I was in LA, waiting to get this started. I am just getting the routine of this part of the tour down.

I have been trying to keep track of things happening on the news and tracking how the news is rendered. I am keeping close watch as to how news gets politicized. In particular, Joe Stack and his crashing of his airplane into the building in Austin TX. I am interested in seeing how this tragic event plays out in the press. It brings a lot of things to mind as to security measures and their limits.

For now, it’s a lot of shows in states with senators who voted against ARRA but were happy to take the money anyway! Thanks for reading this. Henry
