Fanatic! There was a bit of snow in my neighborhood today. I just got a bag of raw shelled peanuts, and left some out on the back porch for the squirrels early this morning. A little while later, I returned to see they were all gone. Hopefully, I’ll help keep their food supply happening so they can get through the winter.
Fanatic, this is our first show for December. We’ll be featuring songs from David Bowie’s excellent Heroes album. Such an amazing piece of work. I hope you had a chance to avail yourself to some of the Raw Power-era tracks of the Stooges from those records I suggested to you recently. I’ve been checking a few out every night for the last couple of weeks.
I got a chance to listen to the tracks that will comprise an album by an artist we listen to quite often on the show that will hopefully be released next year. It’s not for me to get in front of a band’s release, just remember I told you we’ve got a great record to look forward to. Also, I was given all the tracks for the new album by the great band from Hong Kong, David Boring, called Liminal Beings and Their Echoes. We have to wait until January 12 to play any track we want but if you go to their Bandcamp page, you can check out two songs now. We’ve got a track from a cool band called Caution in the second hour of the show. I got the heads up about this group from our good pal and sonic ally, McGinty. The album comes out today. I’m looking forward to getting into the rest of the tracks.
I just got a chance to hear a test pressing of a project Larry Hardy at In The Red Records and I have been working on for weeks. It sounded great and a week ago, we made the order. When the records get to us, I’ll definitely let you know. I think you’re going to like this one.
